Third Party Funding in International Arbitration

Third Party Funding (TPF) has impacted dispute resolution in more ways than one. It has a longstanding existence and is generally perceived negatively in certain jurisdictions. Such perceptions are, however, changing fast and TPF is gaining acceptance worldwide. Increasing recognition by jurisdictions and arbitral institutions is also giving rise to certain issues which pose new challenges, the much-talked-about ‘ethical concerns’ being one.
