As part of the Government’s agenda to the “Make in India” campaign, numerous fiscal incentives are being given to encourage investment in India’s manufacturing sector. To achieve this objective, the Central Government has recently announced Production Linked Incentives (‘PLI’) schemes for focus areas such as electronics and pharmaceuticals, to name a few. In addition to the same, several State Governments have also come out with specific Incentives as part of their respective policies which are undergoing rapid changes across India. The Central Government has also come out with the Manufacture and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations (‘MOOWR’), 2020 which have the potential to achieve the “Make in India” objective.
