As you are aware, for an assessee who does not have international transactions u/s 92 of the Income Tax Act (‘the Act’), the due date for completion of tax audit for FY 21-22 is 30th September, 2022, and in case an assessee has international transactions, the due date is 31st October, 2022.

In this context, during the past one year, there have been numerous amendments in the Act which will have an impact on reporting of information in certain clauses of Form 3CD. Further, there are certain clauses in Form 3CD which were kept in abeyance till 31st March, 2021, and have now become applicable for tax audit of FY 2021-22. Considering the same and for proper reporting of information in Form 3CD for FY 2021-22, the tax auditor as well as the assessee should be aware of the new reporting requirements which have wide ramifications in certain clauses of Form 3CD.
