RERA is to regulate and promote real estate sector and to ensure that the real estate transactions are made in an efficient and transparent manner to protect the interests of the consumers in the real estate sector. RERA, a new Act, as implemented for the benefits of home buyers and promoters, developers, is a real revolution in the real estate sector. The Act is in its initial phase and there are lots of confusions, and queries, difficulties in the minds of home buyers as well as in the minds of promoters. I have tried my best to resolve those queries by presenting this book for the benefits of all the readers. All the provisions of this Act are explained in this book in simple language and in question-answer format, wherever possible. I tried to address most of the issues by referring important case laws in various sections.
I would feel rewarded if the book proves helpful to home buyers, professionals, and promoters and developers to understand the concepts of this Act in the right manner. This book deals with the analysis of the statutory provisions of RERA Act. Most of the State Rules are more or less similar to each other. In an attempt to explain the statutory provisions, I have made the Maharashtra RERA Rules as the basis.
Pravin Bangar is a qualified Chartered Accountant and presently he is practicing under a firm named, “M/s Pravin Bangar and Associates”, Chartered Accountants. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, he established the said firm in 2006 in Pune, Maharashtra. In the last fifteen years of practice, he has worked in the area of direct tax and indirect tax.
