Based on the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case of UOI vs M/s. Filco Trade Center Pvt. Ltd. [TS-369-SC-2022-GST], the CBIC has issued detailed guidelines prescribing the procedure for transfer of any missed out past credits under the Central Excise, Service Tax, VAT laws into the GST regime. 

Further, the Goods & Service Tax Network (GSTN) has re-opened the TRAN Forms onto the common portal enabling the taxpayers to claim the transitional input tax credit. This facility for filing the TRAN 1 or TRAN 2 or TRAN 3 is now available for the aggrieved taxpayers w.e.f, 01.10.2022 to 30.11.2022.
